Seeking Lifeguards for 2024 Olympic Games!
We have an exciting announcement for our National Lifeguards!
The Lifesaving Society Quebec Branch has recently been contacted by the French Federation of Lifesaving and First Aid, which has been tasked with ensuring safety and aquatic lifeguarding for the Paris Olympics. The Federation is looking for several volunteers to oversee aquatic and open water venues before and during the Olympics and Paralympics.
The Federation has been looking to other European countries for volunteers, and, considering the French-speaking population here, also wishes to recruit a minimum of 10 National Lifeguard Pool or Waterfront volunteers from Canada. Volunteers must be aged 18 or older.
Applicants selected by the Federation's committee will need to undergo a 5-day lifesaving and lifeguarding training course to comply with French regulations, as there is no equivalency process between our two countries and the ILS.
If you wish to volunteer, please fill out this form: Jeux Olympiques 2024 recensements (google.com) by June 15.
