Event Cancellation: COVID-19 and the 2020 Alberta and Northwest Territories Pool Lifesaving Championships and Junior Games

With the announcement from the Government of Alberta on March 12, 2020 banning all events over 250 individuals the Lifesaving Society has decided to cancel the Alberta and Northwest Territories Pool Lifesaving Championships and Junior Lifeguard Games that were scheduled to take place April 3-5, 2020 in Lethbridge Alberta.  

The Society will continue to monitor the advice provided by the Government of Alberta and will determine at a later date if the Championships and Games can be re-scheduled. 

Any athletes who may have already registered for the event should be provided with a full refund. For all individuals who ordered hoodies we will have these shipped to your club for distribution. 

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we cancel this event in accordance with public health advice and safety in mind as we do our part to protect our athletes, officials, volunteers, spectators, and staff.
