Aquatic Leadership School Coming to the Northwest Territories!
We've got some exciting news for our affiliates in the north! The Lifesaving Society Alberta and Northwest Territories Branch is partnering with Naiades Consulting Inc. to run the NWT Lifesaving Society Leadership School this spring!
Read on to learn about this new program, the courses being offered, the deadline to register, and more!
How Does It Work?
The NWT Lifesaving Society Leadership School will offer northern communities the opportunity to certify local recreation leaders in multiple programs such as Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor, First Aid Instructor, and National Lifeguard Instructor.
Throughout spring 2025, participants will attend 4 - 7 virtual sessions, followed by one in-person weekend session for skill demonstration.
- The in-person session will take place at the Penguin Palace Pool in Norman Wells, NT (6 Raven Road, Norman Wells, NT X0E 0V0)
You won't have to choose just one program, either - candidates can get certified in as many streams as they qualify for! The base fee to register for one instructor stream is $750, with any additional streams priced at $250 each.
